About FindThatSoftware
FindThatSoftware - also written Find That Software, and FTS for short - is an India-first software decision platform at findthatsoftware.com. It answers one question honestly: which software should a business like yours actually choose, in what sequence, and why.
What we do
Most software directories hand you a list. We start from the outcome you want and map the stack around it, then show the India-specific detail that decides the purchase: the real rupee cost after forex and 18% GST, whether the vendor issues a GST invoice, whether support runs in Indian hours, and the caveats that would make us tell a friend to look elsewhere.
The catalog currently covers 306 tools across 50 categories. Every ranking is computed live from that data, so a page can never drift from the record behind it. The full methodology is on how we research.
Where to start
- Software savings audit - list the tools you pay for and see your all-in India cost, cheaper substitutes, and the rupees you could save.
- Goal-to-stack pages - turn a plain-English goal into a sequence of tools.
- Best-for guides and categories - ranked by fit for your situation, never by who paid.
- India pricing data - verified prices with the source and the date we checked.
What we are not
- Not a pay-to-play directory. Placement and rankings are not for sale, and paid placements are labelled.
- Not a market census. This is a curated, India-first catalog. We would rather cover fewer tools well, with sources and caveats.
- Not a review farm. We do not publish invented ratings or fake review counts.
Get in touch
Buyers can ask for a shortlist through the buying-help form, and that is also where to report anything on the site that is wrong or out of date. Vendors can submit or correct a listing on the vendor page. Corrections are always free and never affect rankings.
Frequently asked questions
- What is FindThatSoftware?
- FindThatSoftware is an India-first software decision platform. You tell it the goal you are trying to hit, and it maps a practical stack of tools with verified India pricing, honest trade-offs and a visible source trail on every listing. It is a curated catalog with editorial standards, not a pay-to-play directory.
- Is FTS the same as FindThatSoftware?
- Yes. FTS is the short form of FindThatSoftware, and the site is also written Find That Software as three words. All of them are the same platform at findthatsoftware.com.
- Who is FindThatSoftware for?
- Indian small and mid-sized businesses, founders and operators who have to choose software and want the India-specific answer: the rupee cost after forex and GST, whether the vendor issues a GST invoice, whether support runs in Indian hours, and what the honest downsides are.
- Is FindThatSoftware free to use?
- Yes. Every guide, category page, comparison, pricing figure and the software savings audit are free and need no account. Some outbound links to vendors are affiliate links, which never affect rankings or what a listing says.
- How does FindThatSoftware make money?
- Through affiliate commissions on some vendor links and paid vendor placements that are labelled as such. Rankings are computed from the catalog data and are never for sale. If we would not recommend a tool to a buyer regardless of pay, it does not get listed.
