The case for
- TallyPrime Silver is a one time licence at 22,500 rupees plus GST, so there is no per user subscription climbing every year.
- The software keeps running after TSS lapses, so an expired renewal does not lock you out of your own books.
- GST, TDS and TCS statutory updates ship through TSS, so return formats stay current with government changes while the subscription is active.
The catch
- TSS renewal costs 4,500 rupees a year on Silver and 13,500 on Gold, and without it GST format updates stop arriving.
- Advertised licence prices exclude 18 percent GST, so Silver actually lands at 26,550 rupees and Gold at 79,650 rupees.
- Remote access, data sync and every internet dependent feature stop the moment TSS expires, even though local data entry keeps working.
- Multi user data over a network is prone to corruption when the link drops or LAN and WiFi are mixed, and remote imports are blocked for that reason.
