FindThatSoftwareChrome extension
The real India cost of any SaaS tool, on its pricing page
Quick answer:FindThatSoftware is a free Chrome extension that shows what a SaaS tool actually costs in India. On the vendor's own pricing page it adds the card forex markup (about 3.5% over the mid-market rate) and 18% GST, tells you whether the tool issues a GST invoice you can reclaim, and surfaces a cheaper Indian alternative when one exists.
What it shows
What it shows on every pricing page
- The all-in India cost. The US sticker plus card forex plus 18% GST, shown two ways: what you pay if you can reclaim GST, and if you can't.
- GST invoice status. Whether the vendor issues a GST invoice with your GSTIN, which decides whether you can reclaim the 18% as input tax credit.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- What does a SaaS tool really cost in India?
- More than the US sticker price. A tool listed at $10 per month is not ₹10 at the mid-market rate: your card adds a forex markup of roughly 3.5% over the mid-market rate, and 18% GST applies on top. If you are GST-registered you can reclaim that 18% as input tax credit, so your real cost is about 3.5% over the converted price; if you cannot reclaim it, you pay about 22% more than a naive conversion suggests. The FindThatSoftware extension computes both numbers on the tool's own pricing page.
- Will this SaaS tool give me a GST invoice I can claim?
- Not all foreign vendors issue a GST invoice with your GSTIN, and without one you cannot reclaim the 18% GST as input tax credit. The extension shows, for each tool we track, whether it issues a GST invoice, so finance teams know the real reclaimable cost before they buy.
- Is there a cheaper Indian alternative to this tool?
- Often, yes. For many global SaaS tools there is an India-headquartered alternative that prices in rupees with no forex markup and bills with GST built in. When a credible one exists, the extension shows it alongside the tool you are viewing, with its India cost.
- Is the extension free, and what data does it collect?
- It is free and needs no account. It reads the web address of the tab you are on to look that tool up in our catalog, and sends only that address to our lookup service. Your audit is saved in your own browser, not on our servers. It does not track your browsing. Full policy at findthatsoftware.com/privacy.
- How accurate are the India prices?
- The prices come from the FindThatSoftware catalog, where we track vendor list prices and apply a consistent India cost model (card forex markup plus 18% GST, GST-reclaim aware). We re-verify tools on a rolling basis and show when data was last checked, rather than quoting a stale or fabricated number.
