Subtitles use 1 credit per 1,200 words and EPUB books 1 credit per 600 words, so EPUB costs double the base rate per word; PDF page and slide rates are only shown after upload. There is no timed trial, only a per-file free sample with daily caps. Checkout runs through Creem as merchant of record, whose buyer terms apply; the site does not say whether tax is added or whether a GST invoice is issued, and refunds are only described for paid-but-undelivered or duplicate orders, handled by emailing support.
Scanfile bills in USD, so an Indian card charges about 3.5% over the mid-market rate on every payment. This is the real, unavoidable India premium, and unlike GST it is not reclaimable.
18% GST applies, but it is not a flat add-on. A GST-registered business reclaims it as input credit, and foreign B2B is reverse-charged so the vendor bills no GST. Only an unregistered buyer bears the full 18%, and some Indian vendors already include it.
