How much does Amazon Web Services (AWS) cost in India?

New AWS Free Tier accounts get $100 in credits immediately plus up to $100 more for exploring key services, so up to $200 over 6 months, with access to 90+ services and no charges or overage. The account auto-closes 6 months after opening or when credits run out, whichever comes first, and you are not charged unless you convert to the Paid plan. Separately, 30+ services are always free within monthly usage limits on both Free and Paid plans.

No subscription fee and no minimum. Every service meters its own units (EC2 instance-hours, S3 GB-months, Lambda requests and GB-seconds, data transfer GB) at region-specific rates, with no single headline price. New customers on the Paid plan are also eligible for up to $200 in credits, and free-trial allowances apply to selected services.

Commitment-based discounts on top of pay-as-you-go: 1-year or 3-year commitments (no upfront, partial upfront or all upfront) for EC2, Fargate, Lambda and SageMaker, plus reserved capacity for RDS, Redshift, ElastiCache, OpenSearch and DynamoDB. The discount depends on service, term and payment option, with no single published percentage.

Billed monthly, no long-term contract, minimum 30-day commitment, calculated per account. You pay whichever is greater of the $29/month minimum or the tiered percentage of monthly gross AWS charges: 9% up to $10K, 7% from $10K-$80K, 5% from $80K-$250K, 3% above $250K. AWS's own example: $20K of monthly AWS charges costs $1.6K of support. Certain services are excluded from the fee base (AWS Support, Managed Services, Professional Services, Training, Marketplace, Mechanical Turk, EKS Anywhere, VMware Cloud on AWS and others). Prepaid Savings Plans and RI upfronts count toward the fee base in the month purchased.

Greater of the $5,000/month minimum or a tiered percentage of aggregate monthly AWS charges across all enrolled account IDs: 10% up to $150K, 7% from $150K-$500K, 5% from $500K-$1M, 3% above $1M. AWS example: $750K monthly AWS spend = $52K support. India regional pricing: customers whose billing-profile accounts are all concentrated in India (or qualified LATAM countries or Mainland China) get a cheaper card, with the same $5K minimum but 10% up to $150K, 7% $150K-$250K, 5% $250K-$500K, 3% above $500K, which makes the same $750K example cost $42K instead of $52K.

Top support tier. Greater of $50,000/month or 10% of aggregate monthly AWS charges up to $1M, 6% from $1M-$5M, 5% above $5M. Minimum commitment 90 days, versus 30 for the other plans.
