ProductLair alternatives in India

Better fit when

Small businesses with an existing website

Watch out for

Sellers with more than a few dozen SKUs on a tight budget, because product count caps force an upgrade before features do

Better fit when

Indian D2C brands wanting a fast, polished storefront without managing hosting

Watch out for

Low-margin Indian sellers doing high order volume, because the 2 percent Shopify surcharge plus gateway MDR eats several percent of every rupee collected.

Better fit when

Indian B2B and marketplace sellers

Watch out for

High GMV low margin sellers, because a percentage of every order sits on top of a fixed monthly fee and scales against you

Better fit when

Growing and larger online merchants

Watch out for

Indian merchants running domestic gateways, since those sit outside the embedded provider list and attract a percentage fee on every order they process.

Better fit when

India-based small and medium businesses launching their first branded online store

Watch out for

High volume low margin sellers such as grocery and FMCG, because a percentage cut on every order compounds far faster than the flat plan fee

Better fit when

Businesses already on WordPress wanting integrated commerce

Watch out for

Indian merchants who want first-party payments, because WooPayments does not operate in India and gateway, reconciliation and refund work falls to a third party plugin.
