Claim this listing →Shortlist Orkas if you are a solo founder, freelancer or small team that wants one desktop app to run research, writing, decks and media through several AI agents, and you are comfortable bringing your own model keys. The biggest thing to weigh first: the privacy policy says account and sync data are stored on servers in mainland China, the operator is an unnamed company bound by Chinese law, and if you use the Orkas-managed models instead of your own keys your prompts pass through Orkas servers too, which matters for client data and DPDP comfort.
The bring-your-own-key route is the strongest case: the core desktop client is MIT open source (sync, sharing and web apps are only in the packaged build), keys stay on your machine, and model calls go straight to your provider, so the only Orkas spend is optional. Billing is in US dollars through Stripe with no word on GST. The struck-through prices mean today's rates are a discount, and the terms say renewals are charged at the then-current price, so the discount is not locked in. Compared with paying for ChatGPT or Claude directly, Orkas adds orchestration, projects and file outputs, but the product is about six months old and the credit maths depends on which upstream model you use.

In short
Orkas is listed under Automation & AI Platforms, reviewed for Indian buyers. All-in it runs about ₹1,174/mo for a GST-registered business ($11.99/mo sticker plus about 3.5% card forex). FindThatSoftware rates it best for solo founders and freelancers who want one app to produce research reports, decks, documents and short videos from a chat brief; a poor fit for businesses that need a named contracting entity, GST invoices or Indian data residency.
Registered business, per month
₹1,174
Orkas advertises $11.99/mo. A GST-registered business in India pays about ₹1,174 a month (₹14,086/yr) once the roughly 3.5% card forex markup is added, with GST reclaimed as input credit. If you cannot reclaim GST, it is about ₹1,385 a month.
Indicative, not a bill. The exchange rate is a single mid-market reference, not a live feed, and GST-registered businesses may reclaim input credit. Confirm current pricing on the vendor site.

Audit your spendOrkas is a desktop app for macOS and Windows, published under the MIT license on GitHub by an operator that names no company but shows a Guangdong ICP filing and puts its terms under Chinese law. You describe a goal in chat, and a Commander agent turns it into to-dos and routes them to 16 built-in specialists, such as DeepResearcher, ContentWriter, PptMaker, VideoStudio, OfficeWorker and five e-commerce agents, plus coding agents you already have installed like Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. Work is organised into projects with shared memory, to-do lists, scheduled automations and connectors such as Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Shopify and Stripe, and the output is real files like Word, Excel, PPTX, images and video. You can run it on Orkas-managed models paid for with credits, or bring your own API keys, which the vendor says stay encrypted on your machine and call the provider directly. Paid plans mainly add monthly credits, cloud sync, more shared projects and web-app publishing; Linux runs only from source, there is no mobile app yet, and the privacy policy says account and sync data are stored in mainland China. The MIT source build runs with your own keys but leaves out shared projects, cloud sync and web-app publishing, which exist only in the packaged app.
