Claim this listing →Shortlist Tale if you are a technical Indian team that already pays for Claude Code, Codex or model APIs and wants one place to hand tasks to those agents, keep the brief and files together and have non-technical teammates review the output. The Community edition costs nothing to license, but someone has to run Docker, TLS, backups and sandbox capacity, so budget engineering time and server cost rather than treating it as free.
Enterprise is billed by a Swiss company in Swiss francs or euros plus VAT where applicable, on invoice through sales, with hosting only in Switzerland or the EU, support in Swiss business hours and no mention of GST invoicing or an India region, so check how your finance team will book a foreign service invoice before committing. The project is young (version 0.5, first tagged release in February 2026, a few dozen GitHub stars) and ships new releases several times a week (over 300 tagged releases since February 2026), so pin versions and test upgrades. If you only need AI coding help for individual developers, a direct Claude Code or Codex subscription is simpler; if you need a mature task tracker with AI on top, Asana or ClickUp style tools are more proven, while Tale's edge is agent sandboxes and review in a self-hostable open-source package.

In short
Tale is listed under Automation & AI Platforms, reviewed for Indian buyers. All-in it runs about ₹1,425/mo for a GST-registered business (CHF 12/user/mo sticker plus about 3.5% card forex). FindThatSoftware rates it best for engineering-led teams that want to delegate tasks to Claude Code, Codex or other coding agents and review the output together; a poor fit for small businesses without anyone to run and secure a self-hosted Docker deployment.
Registered business, per month
₹1,425
Tale advertises CHF 12/mo. A GST-registered business in India pays about ₹1,425 a month (₹17,098/yr) once the roughly 3.5% card forex markup is added, with GST reclaimed as input credit. If you cannot reclaim GST, it is about ₹1,681 a month.
Indicative, not a bill. The exchange rate is a single mid-market reference, not a live feed, and GST-registered businesses may reclaim input credit. Confirm current pricing on the vendor site.

Audit your spendTale is built by Ruler GmbH, a small Swiss company in Spiez registered in 2020. It is a shared project workspace where a team plans work on a task board, assigns tasks to teammates or to project agents, and reviews the files and reports those agents return. Agents run inside persistent sandboxes on runtimes the vendor lists, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenClaw and OpenCode, using either your own API keys or an existing subscription; around that sit chat with cited sources, a knowledge base, versioned automations with approval steps, and governance tools such as audit logs, budgets and SSO. The codebase is public on GitHub under the MIT licence (a few bundled document skills carry their own third-party terms), and the vendor says the free Community edition has every product feature, so you can self-host it with Docker at no licence cost. The paid Enterprise plan adds managed hosting in Switzerland or the EU (or vendor-run installation on your hardware), a DPA, support and maintenance, and is arranged through sales rather than a self-serve sign-up. Model usage is not included in the seat price; the vendor says it is billed at your provider's rates with no markup.
