Plans are billed in USD through Dodo Payments and the site says nothing about GST, so expect forex charges and check whether a GST invoice is issued. Marketing sending costs more than transactional on Starter, annual billing saves 10% while quotas stay metered monthly, and today sends are rejected at the cap rather than charged as overage, though the billing docs mention overage billing for attachments in future. Cancelling or upgrading inside SendHQ does not stop the existing charge at the payment provider, so cancel there too.
SendHQ bills in USD, so an Indian card charges about 3.5% over the mid-market rate on every payment. This is the real, unavoidable India premium, and unlike GST it is not reclaimable.
18% GST applies, but it is not a flat add-on. A GST-registered business reclaims it as input credit, and foreign B2B is reverse-charged so the vendor bills no GST. Only an unregistered buyer bears the full 18%, and some Indian vendors already include it.
